Silver Salmon Fishing on the Kenai River, Kasilof
River,
Floatplane Silver Salmon Fishing Trips!!
Silver
Salmon fishing is an absolute blast for anglers. The season
typically fires up the beginning of August and lasts through the entire
month of September!!! Good fishing typically occurs in one or all of
our fishing destinations during this time period. Silvers are tremendous
fighters and are known for their acrobatic nature – Going Airborne!!!
Silver Salmon are very aggressive biters which can make fishing action incredibly good. They bite a large variety of lures and bait including spinners, salmon eggs and diving plugs.
Silver salmon season is very popular with people who have been to Alaska many times due to the steady action and variety of fish species that can be caught on a given day. Often, on our Kenai River Silver Salmon Trips we will also fish for Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden.
We also fish the beautiful Kasilof River Silver Salmon from drift boats where we back-bounce eggs, back-troll lures and throw spinners. Our floatplane trips for silver salmon on the west side of Cook Inlet is a hit and anglers often times see Alaska Brown Bears up close.
Kenai River Pink Salmon are available on even numbered years and are a great addition to probably catching more salmon than your arms can take! If you have kids or you’re an adult that would like to hook a whole bunch of fish….fish on even-numbered years for Kenai River Silver Salmon and Kenai River Pink Salmon.
